Paramore Poster Analysis

Paramore Advertisement Poster Analysis
The advertisement for the Paramore album 'Brand New Eyes' features an image of the band and also an image of the album that is for sale. This is effective because it shows the audience the product that is being advertised, as well as advertising the band. The colours used are yellows, blacks and browns, which also reflect the colours in the image of the band as one band member has a jacket of these colours and the main singers hair colour also matches the colours in the poster. The poster has a 'teenager' feel to it as the background of the poster is shown to be wood and the text boxes and images appear to be held in place with sellotape, showing a scruffy and casual look to the poster, showing that the band do not take themselves too seriously. This is also shown by the main singer who is pulling a face at the camera and also is stood with her hand on her hip, which is used to show importance and attitude, thus reflecting the teenage genre, yet also showing that she is the most important in the band. The text used is all in capital letters to allow the text to stand out to the target market and makes the text appear important and bold. The band name stands out from the rest of the poster due to the different style font and also the white background surrounding it, allowing it to be easily read and as it is the bands trademark font for their band name, it allows that to be instantly recognised. The image of the butterfly that appears on the album cover is also shown in the background of the wood, and this repetition of the butterfly clearly shows that this is the product that is being shown and emphasised.
