This is the cover for Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold". The colour scheme on this cover has a very strong link with the name of the song. Red is used to extenuate hot, and blue is used to highlight cold. The singer is dressed in a pale pink dress, which is similar to that of the background and also her skin colour, this is to ensure that the focus is on the bold colours, thus enabling the cover to stand out. The image of the singer herself link to the video for the fact that it has the same 'random' feel to it, due to the singer holding a slice of watermelon as though it is a phone. Personally, I feel that the watermelon brings personality to the cover and thus makes it unconventional. Also, the watermelon is a very strong red and therefore helps the red font to stand out. The singer herself is shown to be disgusted and shocked at the watermelon, and this portrays the singer to have a fun side, and therefore will attract people for that reason.
